A Requiem for Google Adsense, Is Adsense Monetization Really Dead? by John Elliott aka Oaky Wood
I, like many other Internet Marketers, have meticulously built my own websites with Google Adsense in mind, from the moment I was first accepted into the website monetization program. Believing, wow, what a wonderfully easy way to actually turn that online income corner, and eventually a great means of making a decent living, or at least a residual income from it, just like the so called “Guru’s” were already doing, or at least claimed they were doing, in all of those e-books, which are now gathering dust on the virtual bookshelves of my hard drive
Oh how fickle I was, as I watched my Adsense revenue income soar to those dizzying heights of $1.35c a month, does this remotely sound familiar? Should I too now display my Adsense paycheck so proudly on my website, just like the “Guru’s” do.
My dreams are being well and truly shattered daily, slowly eroding into cyberspace. What was I doing wrong? Why wasn’t I making those incredible amounts of income that everyone, everywhere seemed to be boasting about. Had these so called marketing experts got it totally wrong? Were they simply telling us all a few porkies, just to sell their Adsense orientated e-books, reports and website templates? Why on earth was all of these Adsense websites still springing up all over the Internet with such profusion, like the poppies on the battle fields at Flanders, when the sign’s were there for all these experts to see so clearly, by their own diminishing incomes. No-one is ever willing to step up to the podium and admit to the rest of us, especially the fat cat over rich “guru’s” who were still selling everything to do with Adsense at astronomical prices, why aren’t we being told that Google Adsense revenue was actually dying a death, and has been for some time. Why aren’t we being informed that the revenues were indeed plummeting out of control, spiralling downwards at an incredible rate.
Now you are not going to believe this!
I’ve just finished reading a very special public domain report, that exposes the real reason that Google AdSense income sucks lately, even though, every would be "Guru" on the Internet is indeed still pushing AdSense products like never before!
What's really cool is that this guy from Texas who I cannot mention here, also explains how he went from a few hundred dollars in AdSense income to over $ 50,000 a month after he gave up on AdSense altogether!

I only wish that I had known about all of this last year. I wouldn't have wasted so much time, money, and effort, trying to win at a game that shouldn't even have been played in the first place! I may never have wasted my precious time building the hundreds, if not thousands of web pages with the Google Adsense code embedded within them, if only someone had told me earlier it would have all been for nought, or at best for the few meagre cents they are making in income today, then my time could have been spent pursuing some other, more lucrative website monetizing ideas. But no, I blindly followed the rest of the herd, and listened to the bleating’s of the more experienced, older and supposedly wiser, sheep out there. My eyes have now been opened, and I look forward to a better future ahead.

Conference I attended recently actually turned out to be worthwhile this time. I
learned about why we do certain things, why we have certain automatic responses.
I am not referring necessarily to favorable responses, but negative ones. It is
because we carry invisible stains. Invisible stains from experiences in
childhood and they color our lives, our decisions, and our reactions. However,
all is not lost. We can realize what stains we have and we can work on them. We
don't necessarily have to live our lives having these stains leave destructive
spots in our lives. They will always be there, but we can be aware of them and
pour our healing bleach on them. Some we can totally obliterate, some we can
only lighten. Some have affected us so, that they are always there and will
never go away. However, just knowing why we are reacting in a certain way, we
can learn and modify our reactions, thereby creating a better life.
You see, we are not children anymore. We are adults and we really do have control of our lives. Let the adult in you take responsibility for the child in you and have that adult care for that child. These reactions can cover so many areas of your life, that it would almost be impossible to delve into each one, in this short blog. Maybe I shall write an article on this and feature it on the blog one day soon. However, let me skim over this a bit and explain it a bit. I do hope to touch someone out there. I know, I was certainly touched. These are the most important factors that cause you to have low self esteem and to live your life with a nagging feeling of shame. This is what holds you back. Here are your primary invisible stains. 1. You are an Ilegitimate Child: This one has lost its punch in today's society, in America anyway, but it is still there. Well for us older folks though, back when we were children those born of unmarried parents were looked down upon and even ostracized. This is a most painful invisible stain for someone to have to live with. And there are people out there now walking around with this stain. Oh, you may have dealt with it now, you feel better about it now, you may not even think of it. But it is a stain you carry about with you. Notice your reactions to circumstances. How do you feel about yourself? How is your self esteem? One carrying this most painful stain needs to realize that regardless of society's views they are a person no less valuable than anyone else. Society places labels on us. You are either worthy or worthless. NOBODY IS WORTHLESS. You are in this world to learn, grow, and enrich yourself, just as anyone else. Although our world has changed where this is not such a stigma anymore, you will be surprised at how many there are that make you feel as though you are not worthy. Hold your head high and live your life. Know who you are and what you are and learn how to blot this stain out. It cannot be done overnight, but it can be learned and practiced. Eventually, you will have freed yourself from one of the chains that bind you. Who cares what others think? Not only on this subject, but on any other subject. Mammy? If Not, Why Not?
by John Elliott aka Oaky Wood 2006 Ok! Ok ! I hear you saying so what’s a WHAMy? Well to put it simply its an acronym for Work At Home Moms ya’ll. I added the ya’ll to make this more unique. A little girl came home from school and asked her mother “Are you A WHAMy Mammy?” a bit perplexed and quite bemused, that her precious daughter of six had come out with such a profound statement. “All the other kid’s mom’s at school in my group are WHAMy’s, so are you one mum?” the little girl continued. “I’m not sure my dear, what’s a WHAMy anyway?” the mother replied. With hands on her hips and the right foot tapping, as little girls often do, and a small scowl on her young brow, “Moth-errr!” “It’s being a Work At Home Mommy ya’ll of course. Derrr!” and the usual, under the breath “tut” “Oh right, no my dear in that case I’m not.” Tears welled in her eyes as the young mother’s thoughts drifted to happier times, when they enjoyed the income from her husband’s job, and as a family they could afford everything they needed. Bob her husband was out of state looking for work, and the welfare cheque was barely enough to survive on. “So my little one, come sit on my knee, and tell mommy all about being a WHAMy, seeing as how you seem to know so much for one so young” “Ok but Moth-errr, please NO sloppy kisses, I’m growd up now and past all that mushy stuff” The little girl proudly told her mom all about the other children’s mom’s, working from home doing lots of different jobs, and how the other kids mom’s could afford those special treats like they once did, and daddy could come back home again and they’ll all live happily ever after. Yes little six year olds can certainly come out with the most thought provoking and in depth things at times, as their young minds can be very logical, and not marred by years of preconception’s of what can be achieved and what can’t. There’s an old adage, “Out of the mouth’s of babes” pure thought with no hindrances immerge. The little girl knew nothing of the actual nuances or complexities of working from home for her mother, yet her logic told her this would be ideal, and besides her father could come back again, which in her eyes would be so wonderful as she misses him so very much. WHY BE A WHAMy? WAHMy mammy’s choose not to take paid work outside the home, so that their family can be their first priority. Whether you are a single parent or within a partnership, trying so desperately to make ends meet, you could so easily become a WAHMy mammy by utilizing better, the skill’s you already have. Find out how You too can take control of your own finances in such a way as you discover how being a WAHM can provide the flexibility, income generation and personal fulfilment you are seeking, by working from home and releasing your full potential. You owe it to your family to be successful, what better motivation can there be to becoming a WHAMy mammy. The story highlighted above is fictional, written by me to illustrate this article, but it could easily be true, it could easily be about you and your own family situation. WHAT’S THE CATCH? Now I hear you asking, “Ye right, Ok! So where, how, what’s the catch?..” and my answer in a nutshell, there is no catch, no trick questions. I myself had indeed built my own website www.thecorner4women.com without ever realizing, or giving much thought to anyone but English speaking people. It never even occurred to me at the time, as I busied myself with the usual HTML struggles all webmasters and website designers go through. Although the common international unwritten language rule on the Internet is undoubtedly, web pages constructed in English, and indeed many sites will not accept postings in any other language. The Internet itself is expanding exponentially, into more countries, the infrastructure and availability through libraries, Internet cafes and the increase in home Telecommunication Systems with cable, dial up and the faster Broadband, all offering greater access by visitors globally. China, being a newly developing Internet country with its millions of eager nationals, all wanting to visit western websites. INTERNET DEVELOPMENT The Internet was originally founded in the late
1960’s, and indeed established by English speaking people, notably the USA with
its universities, being instrumental in its invention and future growth and
development. Libraries, scientist’s engineers and the US Government Departments
were its main users, plus a lot of computer nerds, the innovative 60’s “Whiz
Kids” who formed the backbone of Internet Development, and indeed many of the
original Internet Business’s and other computer enhancements. So it was only
natural that English was the first and only language used, with what after all
was basically a text based infrastructure, which was not very stable or user
friendly at the time, but it all played a vital roll in the birth of the
Internet we all love/hate and know it today.
WHY OFFER OR ADD TRANSLATION ANYWAY? As mentioned above I’d built my own website www.thecorner4women.com assuming every
visitor could naturally read English. Oh! How fickle I was, and I happily
continued building page after page without a care in the world. Then one day my
partner and editor Luella May received an e-mail from a lady visitor from Spain
saying how she had loved our site. Now this may seem strange to most, but the
concept of my humble site actually being visited by a person whose first
language was Spanish and not English, was mind blowing to say the least, and it
was at this single point in time that I truly realized how international the
Internet really was. It also showed me a fundamental flaw in my otherwise
perfect (well in my eyes at least, LOL) website design. Luella May in fact
originates from Cuba and speaks and reads Spanish, everything suddenly making
complete sense. My site was not optimized for none English speaking/reading
visitors. Indeed I also realized that non-English speaking/reading people were
in every country throughout the world and not just confined to their own country
of origin. I needed a solution, and I needed one fast.
THE GOOGLE TRANSLATOR
CODE
After extensive searches I decided to use Google’s
Translation code snippet to add a good reliable and trusted service to my
website. I’ve included the link to a text file below, with a small selection of
languages to get anyone started, save it to your computer as a .txt. Simply copy
and paste this code onto the page, using your html editor, where you’d like it
to appear. There are lots more languages available from google http://www.google.co.uk/language_tools?hl=en
and by modifying the option value lines you can easily include a larger
selection.

By offering simple translation on your own website
pages, you open up another area of potential visitors who would otherwise find
it difficult to fully understand your site. Your website would be better
optimised in the process and be offering a more valuable service to your
potential visitors from the Global Internet community. Many sites continue as
they are and fail to comprehend the benefits for everyone, and neglect to
capitalize on the non-English speaking/reading people of the world.
